Socca with grilled figs and smoked aubergine honey
For a vegetarian birthday party in London last weekend we served up this dish which is a real treat.
Socca is a chickpea flour pancake, also called Farinata, so its gluten free. The figs are simply sliced and popped under the grill with a little salt and to finish a honey blended with charred aubergine is drizzled on top. Great as a starter or part of a small plate menu.
